Your typical Echoes session begins with a brief explanation of our session and instruction in the circular breathing used to calm and soothe the body and mind in preparation for your experience. Each participant is asked to select a silk which has been infused with Sandalwood to assist this process.
Our silks are of the finest quality and are perfect carriers of essential oils. They are the colours of the charkas and allow your extended therapies in clearing charka points with the added dimension of colour therapy.
We have fourteen positions in our tepee, each providing a “bed” on the floor, these are Yoga mats, reinforced with foam underlay for added comfort, vinyl covered for easy cleaning and hygiene and overlaid with disposable sheeting. An abundant supply of pillows, cushions and blankets will add to your comfort
Our Irapa will make you comfortable with snuggle rugs, pillows and cushions. You will have a nice soft bolster beneath your knees, a pillow under your feet, another for your head and as many cushions as may be required to make you fully comfortable. Echoes tepee is climate controlled for your added comfort. We will then lead you through a gentle process of circular breathing combined with stretching and releasing of the muscle groups in the body. This will assist your relaxation and prepare you for your sound session.
We also have available comfortable, reclining armchairs for those who are not able to easily get down and then up from the floor. Once again, cushions and blankets together with feet elevated on a footstool add to your comfort.
Our internal lighting is thoughtfully concealed to evoke entry to a place of early evening. As you relax the lights dim and a canopy of stars comes to life overhead as night settles.
In the tepee, you will feel that you have entered another time and place. All you have to do is to lie back beneath the twinkling “stars” of the domed ceiling, and relax.
The majestic 8 metres high, 16-sided tepee is a unique, purpose built structure, architect designed, and engineered to accommodate sound and vibration. It is externally clad with pure copper. The tepee offers a unique, timeless, peaceful and very comfortable environment with lacquered velvet walls especially designed to enhance sound.
In the centre of the tepee is a sunken well providing for infusion of the space with the soothing aroma of sandalwood. Above the well is suspended a large gong which is central to our process, the vibrations issued from this gong subtly carry the aroma to every participant throughout the session.
